Revit Families
My friend works as a lecturer and trainer on computer aided design and, as such, she trains many architects, designers and engineers on how to improve their designs. One of the more recent technologies to emerge is that of Revit Families. These Revit Families make it much easier to design and, as such, she has a great deal of people wanting training on them. In fact, she is so busy with people asking for help with Revit Families that she has had to employ more staff to deal with the training. This is a really happy situation for her to be in, particularly in the present economic climate and she is really thankful for all the extra work. Last week, she had a training seminar and the room was so packed there were not enough computers for everyone to work on. She realises that she needs to make somee changes in order to make sure that situations like this do not happen again. She will be the first to admit that if you do not project the right image in a business then you may ultimately lose a lot since first impressions really do count. With this in mind she is making a few investments to improve the appearance of her training. She does not need to worry about the content as that is already tip top.

Recently I read a sad article about a woman in her twenties who contracted lung disease because she had breathed in asbestos particles when she was a schoolgirl. It seems hard to imagine that something you did numerous years ago would have such a devastating effect on your body. The thing is, asbestos is an extremely nasty material and once it has entered the system it can lie dormant for long periods of time. Building constructors regularly use asbestos in buildings and it was only in the 1980s when thee dangers of this material finally came to light. Sadly, many buildings still contain the material and unless Asbestos Survey Services are used, building owners won`t know if they are hazardous or not. It`s now a requirement for commercial property owners to have some form of asbestos management in place. They can utilise the skills of companies that provide Asbestos Survey Services to establish if asbestos is on the site and what condition it might be in. Armed with comprehensive reports they can implement a management scheme that will be able to control the substance. It saddened me to read about the girl in her twenties that had contacted a lung disease. If I owned commercial properties I`d be making sure that Asbestos Survey Services were used to see if any of my buildings had asbestos within them.
